PRISON DOGS

HM Prison Maghaberry

Dog Training Unit

In "Prison Dogs," my collaboration with HM Prison Maghaberry's dog training unit aimed to spotlight the exceptional skill and power of these remarkable animals. By equipping both dogs and handlers with GoPro cameras during bite training sessions, we provided a gripping firsthand perspective.

Our goal was clear: to showcase the impressive capabilities of these trained canines. Through dynamic footage capturing their agility, precision, and strength, "Prison Dogs" reveals the sheer skill and power these dogs possess. This project serves as a testament to their invaluable role in prison security and rehabilitation efforts.

MAGPIE

Low Budgey Short Film

While at Falmouth university I worked on the film Magpie. Within the Magpie crew I took on the role of research and publicity. With our film being a historical drama set at the start of the 100 year war, this meant it was crucial for me to make sure the film is as authentic and believable as possible in order to correctly portray the time period with the limitations we have such as a student film budget. The other half of my role is film marketing. It is an essential part of filmmaking as without it a film will struggle to reach people or may not get the support and funding it needs.
The main marketing strategy we use is online, social media marketing as we can quickly and easily share the project to friends and family as well as attracting a new following with relevant hashtags for little cost. We have been able to share the whole process of making the film, from crew meetings, stunt rehearsals and location scouts as well as letting our audience know who we are as a crew and share our crowd funder. In order to set up our pages in the early stages of film production we commissioned an artist to sketch us a few magpie designs that I was then able to turn into logos and use on other promotional and official content and posts such as crew bios, casting calls and posters/banners.
